Due to unforeseen circumstances, the release show by Beryl Anne Thursday 2 November is cancelled. The concert will now take place 2 May 2024. Tickets remain valid.
Beryl Anne is the alias of singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Anne den Boer (1995). She is inspired by 80s artists such as HAIM, Men I Trust, and Maggie Rogers. This results in catchy electronic indie pop with a crispy edge.
Beryl Anne debuted in 2019 with the well-received EP Land of Mine, followed in 2022 by the EP Paper Walls, whose work was regularly heard on KINK radio, NPO5 and 3FM. She toured Dutch pop venues and won a nomination for Best Rotterdam Track of 2021. She also received an award for Best Art Music Video at the International Music Video Awards in London for her self-made music video for the song Burden.
The Rotterdam native is now coming to V11 to introduce her new EP, Manners, to us. This new music was created in collaboration with producer Tessa Rose Jackson (aka Someone). Manners is a record that only involves women; the production, songwriting, mixing, mastering, and artwork are all done by women. The songs are four co-writes with Anna Rune, Áslaug, HEBE and Tessa Rose Jackson.
