The Pop-Punk trio CHERYM is part of the new wave of queer punk rockers that have taken the world by storm. Their pop-punk music, reminiscent of the 90’s, feels contemporary and refreshing. It’s wonderfully gritty and relentlessly uplifting, featuring irresistibly catchy hooks that will surely have the crowd raising their hands. They started as a rebellion against the male-dominated local music scene, as a big ‘Fuck You’ against everyone who thinks girlbands are not good enough, and their never-ending passion and limitless energy define them as both individuals and a powerful live performance.
The band’s genuineness shines through their music as they draw inspiration from their own experiences, which resonate with many of their fans and fellow musicians. They have released a few singles, with their latest one, Do It Another Day, dropping in early October. This pop-rock hit draws heavy influences from the early garage-punk revival, evoking memories of bands like Bleached and Cherry Glazer. Everyone is in anticipation of their debut, and this show is going to fuel that craving within you even greater.
This concert is organized by Rotown and V11 and has standing room only.
