Country Westerns infuse punk rock chutzpah with a classic rock sheen, yielding a sound that’s simultaneously fresh and reminiscent of all the LPs you used to “borrow” from your cool uncle. With members who played in bands like Silver Jews and King Tuff, they know exactly how to write those catchy hooks that stay in your mind for days. Their influences range far and wide, from the bluesy, gritty guitars of Dead Moon and the raw songwriting of Jad Fair to the modern rock infectiousness of Sheer Mag.

With two albums and an EP to their name so far, the trio has garnered impressive critical acclaim. They rounded out 2020 on Pitchfork’s Top 35 Rock Albums of the year, and received tons of love from Magnet, Brooklyn Vegan, Consequence, Paste, Glide, No Depression, PopMatters, and more. They are bound to put you under a spell with their incredible songs.
