Mamalarky (moved to the afternoon)

This concert is moved to Sunday 23/7 afternoon is is free of charge. The concert will take place in open air on the deck of V11. Mamalarky wil play at 16:00, the Amsterdam band Croptop kicks of 15:00. 

Mamalarky plays intertwined, chaotic and quirky indie-rock. Three-quarters of the quartet moved into a home in Atlanta together to eat, sleep, and breathe music. On their 2022 release Pocket Fantasies, the listener can almost feel how tight they are. Stepping into a private world full of inside jokes and their own musical language.

Some parts of Mamalarky are strange, but they always feel really good. The band knows how to generate a symphonic ravel of drum computers, swelling synth-crescendoes, and multiple streamlined vocal layers, interlaced with laidback guitars and an arsenal of non-definable sounds. Mamalarky is the mad professor of synth-pop.
