Nana M. Rose
Rotterdam-based musician and songwriter Nana M. Rose writes sonorous, resplendent pop songs that explore the higher emotional arcs. Nana played the violin as a child, and that classical, dramaturgical influence is still reflected in her carefully crafted melodies and arrangements. In combination with later sources of inspiration such as Adele, Lianne la Havas, and Matt Corby, a unique pop idiom is born, imbued with melancholy and limitless imagination.
Nana released her highly anticipated debut EP Morning Drops & Lemon Seeds this summer, a collection of her three previously released singles plus two brand new tracks. Nana skillfully bridges the gap between dreamy indie-folk and cinematic pop balladry, with a voice that cuts through heart and soul with purpose and power. Gorgeous is quite the understatement.
