Surf Trash

The key element of the Australian band Surf Trash is, quite simply, uncomplicated, pure fun. While their playful nature is at the heart of their sound, they also blend indie, alternative rock, and surf into the mix. Despite their rough-and-tumble name, which conjures images of a wild garage band, their music is much more refined. Though the band does let loose in certain tracks, their songs are generally lively yet mellow, sunny but emotionally charged.

In early September 2024, they released their debut album The Only Place I Know. While some songs carry more serious undertones, many stand out with big choruses, feel-good lyrics, and infectious melodies. The album’s theme is beautifully woven throughout, touching on relatable moments such as the realization of how quickly time passes, the feeling of youth, and the innocence of growing up.
