For THUS LOVE, a band hailing from Brattleboro, Vermont, DIY is more than just a creative approach—it’s a reflection of their identity as trans/queer artists. From the very beginning, the band members have lived under the same roof, designed and produced their own merchandise, and even built their own recording studio from the ground up. Their gloomy, angular yet fluid post-punk sound is infused with influences from goth, indie, and shoegaze, resulting in a distinctive style marked by shimmering Johnny Marr-like guitars and bold rhythmic accents.

THUS LOVE expertly draws from a rich musical tradition while forging a voice that is uniquely their own. Their music tells a story of searching for meaning in challenging times, embracing community and love, and finding joy in personal rebirth. Seamlessly blending contemporary tones with the rawness of a Bowie recording from the ’80s, the band creates a sound that feels both timeless and fresh. They are now on the cusp of releasing their second album, All Pleasure, and with singles like “On The Floor” and “Birthday Song,” they’ve already given us a tantalizing taste of what’s to come.
