TIMBER & BAND – NOT A RELEASE PARTY
TIMBER
Timber is a singer-songwriter from the Rotterdam region whose Americana-popsongs are inspired by The Beatles, which sound like Douwe Bob and John Mayer, making you feel, think and sometimes laugh, in an atmosphere of intimacy and relaxation. In 2018 Timber held a successful release party in V11 for his album Clouds. He wanted to do this again in 2020 for his then upcoming EP It could have been me, but off course ‘something came up’. So he is doing it now, only now it’s his Not a release party. Timber will play the songs of the EP (released in 2020 and 2021), new songs and some old songs with a semi-acoustic band.
Dutch magazine Heaven wrote:
“On Clouds Timber shows he’s a terrific singer and songwriter and he convinces with appealing melodies, tastfully arranged”.
About the music on It could have been me Bluestown Music wrote:
“Soothing, intimate and warm” and “Recalling the music of Jim Croce and James Taylor”.
Timber is playing live regularly. In recent years he played e.g. in Kadmium (Delft), Rietveld Theater (Delft), De Vorstin (Hilversum), POPEI (Eindhoven) and recently as support for Dennis Kolen in Theater Walhalla (Rotterdam).
Support: Martijn Krale
After playing in rockbands for years, Martijn discovered the power of little and quiet. Armed with only an acoustic guitar, telling a story and meeting each other just by playing songs.
