V11 x BIRD presents: Jono McCleerly

Jono McCleery is coming to Rotterdam! On March 6, the British singer-songwriter will perform in the intimate V11 venue, where he will bring his atmospheric mix of soul, folk and electronics to life. With a career spanning from Ninja Tune releases to collaborations with Maribou State, Jono continues to enchant.

Since his debut album Darkest Light in 2008 – funded by fans such as folk icon Vashti Bunyan and radio DJ Tom Robinson – Jono McCleery has carved out a unique place in the music scene. With releases via Ninja Tune and collaborations with Maribou State, Portico and Maceo Plex, he moves effortlessly between styles and genres. His music received support from big names such as Gilles Peterson, Jamie Cullum and Phil Selway (Radiohead), and was picked up by radio stations such as FIP and KCRW. He toured worldwide with Bonobo and Jamie Woon and never ceased to surprise.

After the pandemic, Jono went on a journey of discovery again. Now based in Rotterdam, he released the EP To Keep a Memory via the Berlin label 90 Days, followed by the albums Here I Am and There You Are and Moonlit Parade.

With more than 38 million Spotify streams and tracks appearing in series such as This Is Us and Queen Sugar, Jono proves that his music does not fit into one box. He continues to experiment, innovate and connect – always with a sound that touches and lingers.
