Vessel11 is an independent venue in Rotterdam. The belly of the boat hosts around 90 intimate shows throughout the year by both local and international artists.
17.05.2023We are a small, self-driving international crew working together. We have close contact with the bands and partner venues such as Baroeg and Rotown. Creative freedom and responsibility come with the job, we do what we do because we’re devoted to supporting independent music.
Since early March 2020, we have also been using the stage to record local bands which led to Calls from the Hull, a compilation album released on vinyl last year followed by Vol. II, which is planned for release next month.
We offer a V11P membership which grants members access to all shows aboard V11 for a mere 60 euros a year to make our shows accessible and encourage music lovers to come to our shows.
JOB OFFER — COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER for Stichting V11
Senior Communications/Marketing Officer position – level VI of the VNPF CAO.
With 2 years amount of previous experience working in communication and marketing required
Part-time position (8 hours a week)
The salary is in accordance with the Dutch VNPF CAO.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Strategically overlook, communicate and promote all the Stichting activities, which includes shows, festivals and other music related events on the boat from start to finish across all channels – these include the website, social media platforms, mailing list, press releases and offline print campaigns
- Manage Marketing & Communications budgets
- Manage the V11P Membership system
- Manage the ticketing system
- Work closely with the stichting team and our partners (incl. Rotown, Baroeg, who co-promote the majority of our shows with)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- You’re familiar with and have previous experience with communication and marketing
- Your communication and writing skills in English are proficient. Dutch helps but isn’t mandatory
- You have a love for music
- You have a network in music (platforms, venues, journalists, etc.)
- You have flexibility to spread your work hours throughout the week
